All Tied Up in Knots

Here is a simple rope trick you can impress your friends with, and all you’ll need is a piece of rope about 3 feet long.

Challenge your friends to tie a knot in the rope without at any time letting go of either end. When they give up you can show them how by doing the following: 

1. Lay the piece of rope on the table in front of you, then cross your arms.
2. Keeping your arms crossed, pick up the rope one end at a time.
3. Now, uncross your arms.
4. Ta-da! There is now a knot in the rope and you didn’t let go of either end to make it.
