Many of my books have been short-listed for awards, including the Hackmatack Children's Choice Award, the Red Maple, the Silver Birch and the Red Cedar. These award nominations are part of school reading programs, which are fantastic! Why? Because schools encourage you to read the nominated books and then it is you, the reader, who get to vote for your favourite. As an author, there is nothing more important to me than to have you read my books, and be entertained by them.
